Steve McClellan

Steve McClellan was born August 14, 1967 in McAlester, Oklahoma and raised in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He obtained his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma in 1991. He then obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1994.

Steve began his career as a lawyer in Ponca City, representing injured workers in the Workers Compensation Court System. He then moved to a primarily defense oriented firm, where he began to obtain trial experience in the District Courts of Oklahoma. Steve then joined the in-house counsel division of Farmers Insurance Company, where he defended hundreds of insured’s against claims for injury and obtained further trial experience. He joined Coffey, Gudgel and McDaniel in August, 2009.

Steve practices in the firm’s general civil litigation section. His primary focus is in the area of insurance defense, motor carrier defense and general litigation. He is admitted to practice in all Oklahoma State District Courts, as well as the Northern and Eastern District Courts of Oklahoma in the Federal Court System.

Steve is married to Debbie McClellan. They are the proud parents of three boys and one grandson. He volunteers extensively in the Boy Scouts of America where he is an Assistant Scoutmaster and Venture Crew Advisor and is active in his church.
